This policy explains what the ReviewTurbo browser extension handles, why, and who it is shared with. It applies to the ReviewTurbo extension for Chrome and other Chromium browsers, and to the reviewturbo.app website.
Summary
The extension helps you draft replies to customer reviews. To do that it sends the review text you choose to reply to, along with your reply preferences, to our servers, which use Google’s Gemini API to generate a draft. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track your browsing.
What we collect
- Account email — the email you enter to create or restore an account. It identifies your workspace and lets us email you a sign-in link.
- Review content you act on — when you click 1-Click Reply, the text of the review near that reply box is sent to our servers to generate a draft. The extension does not read other page content and only runs on the supported review sites.
- Reply preferences — your chosen tone, language and model, stored so drafts match your voice.
- Your own API key (optional) — if you are a Pro member and choose to bring your own key, the Gemini API key you enter is stored in your browser’s extension storage and sent to our server only to make generation requests on your behalf.
- A device token — a random secret stored in the extension to keep you signed in. It is not derived from personal data.
- Technical data — a salted, irreversible hash of your IP address, used solely to enforce rate limits. We do not store raw IP addresses for this purpose.
The extension does not collect your browsing history, keystrokes, passwords, or the content of pages other than the review text you choose to reply to.
How we use it
Review text and preferences are used solely to generate a reply draft and to count usage against your plan. Your email is used to operate your account and to send transactional messages such as a sign-in link. We do not use any of this data for advertising or profiling.
Sub-processors
- Google (Gemini API) — receives review text and your reply preferences to generate a draft, governed by Google’s API terms.
- Supabase — stores your account and usage data, and hosts authentication.
- Dodo Payments — processes one-time Pro and refill payments as merchant of record. We never receive your full card details.
- Resend — delivers transactional emails such as the sign-in link.
Storage and security
Settings and your device token are stored in your browser’s extension storage. Account and usage data is stored by Supabase. Any stored third-party keys are transmitted over HTTPS and used only to serve your own requests. You can remove local data at any time by signing out in the extension or removing it.
Retention
Review text sent for drafting is processed to produce a reply and is not retained as a stored record. Account and usage data is retained while your account is active. Rate-limiting records are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@reviewturbo.app.
Children
ReviewTurbo is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes, and notify account holders by email of material changes.
